The Merseyside RGT inaugural sponsored walk was held on Sunday 29/03/09; a 2.5 mile circular walk at Walton Hall Gardens near Warrington.

The weather was fantastic and so was the turn out with approx 40 greys and their owners and friends turning up to help raise funds for the branch.

It was great to see greyhounds which the branch had homed , too many to mention by name but they all looked fit and well and a credit to their owners. 4 greys were brought from the kennels; Doc, Ellie, Princess and Rocky and they all enjoyed their date out. Special mention must go to Bess, a young nervy grey who is in a foster home, she came along and coped with the day admirably.

Before the start at 1pm everyone gathered exchanging stories and enjoying the sunshine. Apologies for the steps at the end of the walk, stories have been heard of greyhounds being carried up the steps by their owners-----how lazy they are !
