Representatives from the Merseyside RGT visited QVC (Knowsley) to collect a cheque for money raised by QVC staff between January and March 2011. A grand total of £16.576.10 was raised through a variety of different events including a Valentines Day photo booth, a pet idol competition, raffles, tombolas, cake sales, sponsored bike ride, a spring fayre and the sale of cosmetics through QVC retail outlets.
Representing the MRGT were Angela Phillips, Graham Auld, Joanne Johnson and Milly (the grey). Kelly Morgan head of HR at QVC (Knowsley) said “ it was an honour to present the cheque on behalf of everyone involved in the fund raising, and what really stood out for me was the passion and commitment that came across from the trust in terms of how important this money is to them, and what a difference the money raised will make”.
I would personally like to thank Joanne who originally nominated the trust, for all her hard work over the 3 months to ensure that it was a great success.
